Our

Story

Our story begins across the ocean, in Finland.

Our dad was born there and came to Canada at just under two years old, carrying with him the quiet resilience and spirit of his roots. Our mom was born and raised in Finland, where she followed her love of the land and studied horticulture—learning not just how to grow flowers, but how to care for life in all its forms.

Years later, on what was meant to be a simple, last-minute trip to Canada to help a busy mother, our mom’s path shifted in the most unexpected way—she met our dad.

Not long after, their story brought them back to Finland, where they were married on June 11, 1988, surrounded by the place that shaped them both.

Together, they built a life rooted in family and purpose, raising eleven children—five girls and six boys—on values of hard work, connection, and care for the land.

In 2008, our family experienced a profound loss when our youngest brother, Joseph, passed away at just three months old. In the midst of grief, our mom turned to what she knew best—flowers. What began as a way to cope slowly became a path toward healing. The soil became a place of therapy, and the act of growing became a quiet way forward.

Over the years, our family has been part of many markets—sharing flowers, food, and pieces of our life with the community. We even started one of our own. But through it all, something kept calling us back home.

Back to the farm.

Today, we’ve chosen to root ourselves here, creating something slower, more meaningful, and deeply personal. Our farm is more than a place—it’s a reflection of where we come from and what we’ve lived through.

A true Finnish farm, shaped by resilience, seasonality, and simple beauty.

Here, we invite you to step into something real.
To slow down.
To connect.
To find a little bit of magic—season after season.
